I am a lover of all things art and nature.  I was a horticulture major in college.  I’ve taken a lot of art classes throughout my life and began sewing at an early age. I also come from a long family line of quilters.  Over the past few years, after retiring from teaching, I took up Long arm quilting, and now I am hooked.  (Don’t tell anyone, but I really think I even enjoy it more than piecing.) I was given the nickname Speedy Mermaid, by my kids, when they were little, so the name is near and dear to my heart. It actually kind of fits my business, since because it is fairly new, I am pretty speedy at completing quilts for my clients.  Thank you for checking me out.  Happy quilting!
